For some, the words 'hair crimping' connjur images of big, frizzy, 80's disasters. So it's only natural that some of us are weary of the crimper.
However, with the right technique, products and styling, a hair crimper can be used to help create texture, volume and definition. For a moden twist on the crimped hair look:
Step 1: Brush hair and apply heat protectant
Step 2: Section off hair and crimp around 30% of your hair. Spread your crimping out from the bottom layers to the top
Step 3: Use a straightener or curling iron to add additional texture to some of the 'non crimped' areas if required
Step 4: If required, use a paddle brush to lightly brush areas for a softer look.
Step 5: Apply hairspray and texturising spray. Option to style in a pony or messy bun
You can pick up a crimper such as the VS Sassoon Total Style Crimper at Big W, Target and Priceline.

Her Infinite Variety
We're always on the look out for new and upcoming bloggers. Recently we had a chat with Andrea from Her Infinite Variety. Loving her style and clothing combos.
2. How would you describe your style?
Honestly, I’m not really sure. I’m quite certain everyone else would be able to tell me better than I can. I go through phases of what I want to wear, right now I’m really inspired by 60’s trends so quite a few of the things I’m wearing are related to that. But next week I might decide to do something totally different. I think it’s good not to stick too closely to one style. I want to try different things and go out of my comfort zone.
3. What or who influences your style?
I don’t think I could really specifically pin-point who or what influences my style. I’m influenced by everything I see. One of my main sources of inspiration for images for my blog would probably be magazine advertisements – my walls are completely covered in them. I don’t really look at celebrities for style icons, I prefer to do my own thing. I’m inspired by all fashion bloggers, no matter their style. Recently, I’ve been mostly influenced by Olivia from What Olivia did, I absolutely love her style. But one day, when I’m older, I hope to be as elegant as Audrey Hepburn.
4. What is you 'go-to' outfit when you don't know what to wear?
A long sleeved plain black dress with either a patterned kimono, checkered or denim shirt. If it’s a checkered or denim shirt I usually roll the sleeves up to just before my elbows so the sleeves from the black dress are sticking out underneath. I accessorise it with black tights, a large bracelet, a few rings and black boots.
5. What are you must-have staple items in your wardrobe?
Any sort of blouse, a leather jacket and any sort of trousers or shorts that are high-waisted.
6. Are you a bag or shoe girl?
Shoes, definitely! I’ve got quite a few bags but I don’t use all of them as I usually end up carrying around lots of things with me and most of them are too small. A girl can never have too many shoes, I’ve been told off by my housemates for shopping too much!
1. How long have
you been blogging for and what inspired you to get started?
I’ve been blogging since November, so not very long, and a bit late on the scene. I’m still learning! I had been thinking about it for a while, I actually decided that I wanted to start one this time last year but it took me a long time to come up with the name as I thought that was really important. I think what made me want to do it, was I saw other bloggers and thought ‘I could do that’ (probably not as well as them though!).

7. Apart from blogging, what do you
do in your spare time?
I’m a volunteer at Shelter Charity working in the store once a week, apart from that the only other thing I do is play the piano. Unfortunately, I hardly have any free time these days!
8. You study Fashion Marketing, any ideas on what career you'd like to pursue?
Recently I’ve been thinking about going into buying. I love the analytics behind what people buy like finding out what has sold well and what hasn’t. I just think it would be the most interesting job having to choose what will go in the store and providing people with the latest trends along with all the research that goes behind it.

Floral Pants
I adore the Chic Cropped Floral Pants we have in stock at the moment, so I thought I'd pinch a pair for myself. They are ideal for winter and I love that I can easily dress them up.
These would of been perfect with my Tony Bianco's... but they KILL my feet. These shoes are saved for sitting down events only....until I build up an immunity to the pain.
