Do many we make resolutions with the intention of keeping them? Or do we make resolutions half-arsed knowing that we will fail? We strive (with the best intentions) to "give up" vices or habits which are bad - yet, we know it's tough to go cold turkey. Do we set ourselves up for failure because secretly we don't want to make changes? If we were serious about bettering ourself - why wait until the New Year?
